Wenceslao Guerrero Matos is the Founder and CEO of Aureus Partners. Wenceslao has over 10 years of experience in private equity and M&A, and has executed over US$1 billion in equity investments across multiple industries in the US & Latin America.
Prior to launching Aureus Partners, Wenceslao was a Vice President in the US Direct Investments team at Temasek, a Singapore-based investment company with over US$300 billion in assets under management. At Temasek, Wenceslao focused on growth equity and buyout investments in Tech & Consumer businesses across the Americas.
In addition to his experience at Temasek, Wenceslao’s prior roles include positions at Blue Road Capital, a US$433 million private equity fund focused on the food supply chain, and Bridgewater Associates, a leading macro hedge fund. Wenceslao began his career as an investment banker at Credit Suisse’s Latin America Group, advising clients in the region on mergers and acquisitions and capital raising transactions.
Wenceslao holds a BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from Columbia Business School. Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, Wenceslao is bilingual in English and Spanish, and proficient in French and Portuguese.
